Keflex 500 mg Capsule are intended to treat bacterial infection that occurs in the urinary tract, and lung infections such as pneumonia, ear, skin, bone, etc. The active ingredient Cephalosporin kills the bacteria and prevents cell damage. It does not work for viral infections like fever and any similar infection.

WAY OF ADMINISTRATION:

Keflex 500 mg Capsule is an oral formulation for easy administration. Consume it with or without food. Do not cut, crack, bite or triturate the capsule. Administer it with a full glass of water to avoid stomach upset. Consume it as directed by a physician.

SIDE EFFECTS OF CEPHALEXIN:

Everyone may experience different side effects as it depends upon dose and duration. Here is the list of a few common side effects. which gets disappear as you stop taking medicine:

Dizziness
Nausea
Headache
Vomiting
Diarrhea

Skin rash

DOSAGE OF KEFLEX 500:

The dose of Keftab 500mg Capsule depends upon infection and the patient’s age. It may vary drug quantity. Usually, it is recommended twice a day. Take a prescribed dose and do not skip or stop by yourself, which may lead to the regrowth of bacteria.

INTERACTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you’re taking medications like herbal, vitamins, or protein supplements. Inform your doctor if you are taking metformin and probenecid.

Also, inform if you are taking antihypertensive drugs because it may lower the effect of Keftab 500mg capsules.
