Lotrisone Lotion is a topical treatment for the fungal infection of the feet, groin, and body. This lotion has two main components, first is Clotrimazole which prevents fungal growth also, infection spread, and the second is Betamethasone which prevents redness of the skin, irritation, swelling, etc.
WAY OF APPLICATION:
Lotrisone Lotion is a topical medicine intended for external use only. Apply this lotion to the infected area only. Clean your hands before and after the application. Clean the affected area with any antiseptic liquid or wash with soap or body wash and dry it well and then take a small quantity of lotion and apply gently. Don’t rub or massage with lotion to the infected part.
SIDE EFFECTS OF LOSTRISONE LOTION:
Everyone has different skin types and may experience different side effects too. A few common side effects found are a burning sensation on the skin, itching, dry skin, tingling, stinging, etc.
Also, those who are using Lotrisone Lotion for a longer duration or children may experience extreme thirst or urination, swelling of feet, weight loss, headache, and vision problems because this medication starts getting absorbed in the bloodstream and by an increase in corticosteroids. These are very unusual side effects.
Patients who are allergic to any of the active or inactive ingredients present in this lotion may experience severe side effects like hair growth, skin thinning or discoloration, acne, hair bumps, and in some rare cases, patients may also experience blur vision or any other vision problems. Inform your doctor if any of these you experience.
APPLICATION GUIDE:
Lotrisone Lotion is used to apply on the skin surface. Generally, its recommended to apply twice a day by cleaning and drying infected areas. Don’t stop using lotion either, it may cause the regeneration of fungi.
WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:
Lotrisone Lotion is not for children under 7 years.
Do not use this lotion for baby rash or diaper rash.
Do not apply this medicine for unaffected areas or other skin problems like acne, pimples, or rough skin. It may cause skin irritation.
Using this lotion for a long time may induce skin thinning and physical stress.
Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers should consult with a doctor before using it as a few similar medicines pass through breast milk which may affect child growth.
Avoid contact with your eyes. Even if it happens, rinse your eyes with clear water And, if your eyes irritate for a long duration, then contact your doctor.

Lotrisone Lotion doesn’t have any severe drug interaction. But this has a few disease interactions that are listed below:
Diabetes.
Liver impairment.
Infections.
Hyperadrenocorticism (adrenal glands overproduce certain hormones).
Diaper rash.
Ocular toxicity (vision issues).
