For instance, a youngster who is six years old and weighs 50 pounds should begin with a 10 mg capsule every morning for at least three days before increasing to 25 mg daily.

For at least three days, children with ADHD who are at least six years old and weigh more than 155 pounds (70 kg) can take a starting dose of 40 mg by mouth each morning before rising to 80 mg daily.


  1. Inform your doctor if you or anyone in your family is currently experiencing or has ever experienced depression, bipolar disorder (also known as manic depressive disorder, which causes episodes of depression, frenzied, abnormal excitement, and other abnormal moods), or has ever contemplated or attempted suicide. Let your doctor know if you suffer from liver illness or have had seizures before.
