Topamax 25 mg Tablet is used alone or in combination with other drugs to treat and prevent seizures (epilepsy). Children under 12: The doctor must determine the use and dosage.

WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS:

  1. Topamax may occasionally result in secondary closed-angle glaucoma (sudden increase in the pressure in your eye). Consult your doctor about if Topamax is appropriate for you if you have glaucoma or have had it in the past. 
  2. Adverse side effects of combining Topamax 25 mg Tablet with other medicines exist. Book an appointment with the doctor if these side effects occur.
  3. A condition known as metabolic acidosis, or a high quantity of acid in your blood, is a side effect of Topamax that can occasionally occur. The amount of acid in your blood might also increase if you have severe lung or breathing issues, such as COPD or asthma.
